Brugmansia Langenbuscher Garten x Joli
My real job in the event business has kept me very busy the past couple of weeks, so I have not had time to show off some of my newest Angel Trumpet seedlings. I'll start with this new seedling from a cross between Brugmansia Langenbuscher Garten x Joli that is currently in bloom.
While the blooms are nice, currently they are really not special enough to convince me this one is going to be keeper. It will be safe for another six months though because I crossed it back to its mother, Brugmansia Langenbuscher Garten and it appears seed pods are forming.
Perhaps if the blooms on this seedling had inherited their mother's rich orange color, it would make it easier for me to place it in my watch zone. I have a very hard time culling plants because so many of them have beautiful blooms. But all I have to do is take a quick glance at all the community pots full of the next generation of seedlings ready to be potted up, and I get a quick reality check.
I have a seedling from a reverse cross of Langenbuscher Garten x Joli, Brugmansia Joli x Langenbuscher Garten, that is also in bloom right now. I'll showcase it tomorrow.
