Sommer Gardens / Monday, April 9, 2012 / Categories: Brugmansia, Seedlings Angel Trumpet Brugmansia Aprikola x Joli Several years ago I made a bunch of crosses with Brugmansia Aprikola as the pod parent. Unfortunately I lost most of those seedlings in the freezes of the winter of 2009. Recently I noticed that one of the few lone survivors was in bloom. Here's Brugmansia Aprikola x Joli showing off some great form.I plan to hold this Angel Trumpet seedling over through the summer to see what it does. The one advantage is has over its mother is that the blooms are not as stuffed as those of Brugmansia Aprikola. Super stuffed blooms are not a desirable trait for a bloom to have in Florida because the blooms often turn brown and rot, especially in the summer. This new Angel Trumpet is on fire! Birds gone wild! Print Rate this article: No rating 8327 Tags:Angel TrumpetAprikolabrugBrugmansiajoli
