Brugmansia 'Jessie Noel' x 'New Orleans Lady'

Here's an interesting Angel Trumpet seedling from a cross I made between Brugmansia 'Jessie Noel' x 'New Orleans Lady'.

jessienoelxneworleanslady2.jpgWhat really caught my attention was that the mature blooms resemble balls of cotton.

jessienoelxneworleanslady2-2.jpgThe photos pictured here were captured a couple of weeks ago when the temperatures were still summer like.  You can see a tinge of orange coloring in the blooms, which I'm certain will most likely intensify in cooler weather.   The blooms have a strong resemblance to their father, Brugmansia 'New Orleans Lady', but are smaller in size.

I plan to carry this one through the winter to see how it evolves.
