The cross is Brugmansia (Color Point x Angels Flight) x Langenbuscher Garten.The pendant blooms on this seedling are the largest yellow/orange blooms I have observed on a Brugmansia plant. The long lasting blooms have good substance and remain open in the heat. The color is rich and consistent throughout the life of the blooms.In the photo below I'm holding up a bloom so you can get a better perspective of the size of the bloom. You can also see the creamy yellow color of the inside corolla tube, contrasting the orange color of the outer skirt.I plan to incorporate this seedling in hybridizing program this winter. With genes from 'Angels Flight' and 'Langenbuscher Garten" in its gene pool, perhaps I can develop a seedling with giant double orange blooms.
