Birds gone wild....again!

The birds are out of control at my place this spring.  I left the windows down in my truck yesterday afternoon and evening and guess what I found this morning.....a half built birds nest!In that short period of time they managed to fill my ceiling console half full of leaves, moss and twigs.  An equal amount of debris were scattered on my seats and floor  Unlike the earlier nest that the birds constructed in my shade house, I had no problem getting rid of this one. :)

Birds gone wild!

Now that the majority of my Angel Trumpets are growing in an enclosed shade house I never expected birds to become a nuisance....that is until I discovered this giant birds nest with plastic plant tags as one of the primary building materials!  Now I know why so many of my plants are missing their identification tags.For the past couple of years I have had problems with birds yanking the pot tags out of my Angel Trumpets in my open growing area. Angel Trumpet caught in a worm hole...

This angel trumpet bloom put a new meaning into the term worm hole.  When I hear of a worm hole I think of outer space and Star Trek. I recently noticed I have lots of another type of worm hole throughout my brugmansia jungle.  Here's a photo of bloom that had a recent encounter with one.Caterpillars are my number one pest during the summer and it looks like I'm going to have to use some chemical warfare to get them under control.  :(
