Brugmansia Inca Sun X Angels Goldface

Here's another Angel Trumpet seedling from a cross I made between Brugmansia Inca Sun X Angels Goldface.

incasunxangelsgoldface.jpgWhen you look at the bloom face it has a very strong resemblance to its father, Brugmansia Angels Goldface. This was the first bloom on this seedling so I'll have to wait and see if the resemblance continues.  As is often the case with new seedlings with multi-skirted blooms, the bloom form will evolve and change as the seedling matures.

I still have at least a dozen more seedlings from this cross that should bloom for the first time this fall.  I'm hoping at least one will have blooms like this one, with the ever blooming and somewhat compact growth characteristics of its mother, Brugmansia Inca Sun.

I had an interesting find this week on another Brugmansia Inca Sun X Angels Goldface seedling it my watch zone, a variegated sport.  I posted a photo on my Sommer Gardens Facebook Page and will follow up with a post in my in a couple of weeks.  I want to make sure the variegation holds before i write about it.
