Golden Angel Trumpets abound this summer

Today's featured Angel Trumpet seedling is from a cross I made between Brugmansia 'Herenhauser Gold' and 'Langenbuscher Garten'.  It is just one of dozens of new yellow Brugmansia seedlings in my growing area that have bloomed this summer.
herrenhausergoldxlangenbuschergarten2-2.jpgThe golden yellow blooms are large in size and thick textured.

herrenhausergoldxlangenbuschergarten2-3.jpgThe blooms on this seedling have a slight resemblance to their mother, 'Herenhauser Gold', but with a darker color.

herrenhausergoldxlangenbuschergarten2.jpgThis is the sixth seedling from this cross to bloom, and so far all six have been single yellows.  I plan to watch all of them during the next couple of months and then decide if any are truly worthy of carrying over to be trialed.

I know I have at least 10 additional seedlings from this cross that have yet to bloom and I'm hoping at least one will have multi-skirted blooms.  Stay tuned for updates as the rest of the seedlings come into bloom.
