Today's featured Angel Trumpet bloom has edges and tendrils that almost appear as if they have been toasted.  The blooms are from a cross between brugmansia Axel Rose x Mountain Magic.Even as the flower matured the color did not extend past the outer edges of the bloom and the tendrils.  The bloom had a nice shape and was long lasting.  It will be interesting to see what this one does the next time it blooms.

This new Angel Trumpet seedling is such a deep pink color that it almost appears red when the bloom matures.  It is from a cross of brugmansia Rubirosa x (Peanut x Mountain Magic).It has allot going for it thanks to its great parentage.  It is a monster seedling, requiring me to use a step ladder in order to snap this picture.  I've already had a couple other seedlings from this cross bloom with a similar look and I'm watching them all.  I'm certain at least one of them will be worthy of ...

I'm not sure where these long tendrils came from, but they sure would look better if they had some curl to them!  Today's featured Angel Trumpet seedling is from a cross between brugmansia New Orleans Lady and Mountain Magic.I'm hoping the color will flush out the green in the corolla tube the next time it blooms.  If not, it will be destined for the compost pile this winter.

This wide-bodied Angel Trumpet bloom is the result of a cross between brugmansia Creamsicle and Mountain Magic.Measuring over 10 inches across, this one is a real attention grabber.  While it had the droops in the heat of the day, it quickly bounced back as the afternoon cooled off.I wonder if the color will deepen to that of Mt. Magic when cool weather arrives???

Every so often an Angel Trumpet has blooms whose color beckons you from far away.  This cross from brugmansia Rubirosa x (Peanut x Mt. Magic) was one of those. I must have had a dozen seedlings blooming in the same general area, but this one stood out from a hundred feet away.If it is this dark in the heat of summer, I wonder how intense the color will be when the weather cools?  This will be a watcher for sure.
