It is from a cross involving brugmansia Rosalie x Rachel.This brugmansia seedling's blooms were long lasting, had great coloration and a pleasant fragrance. Although there are lots of nice single pinks available in the U.S., there is plenty of room for improvement in disease & pest resistance and heat tolerance. This one is worthy of watching for another season to see if it raises the bar.
