When I look back at all the single pink Angel Trumpet seedlings that bloomed this season, this one has quickly become one of my favorites.  It's a seedling from a brugmansia cross of (Tiara x Susanne) x Earth Angel.  It has been blooming for the past month and every time I study it, I like it more and more.  The picture below was taken the second day after the bloom opened.  By day three the color deepens and travels up the corolla tube.   I feel this one has great potential and I have ...

These pictures do not do really show how beautiful this Angel Trumpet seedling really is.  It is a carry over seedling from 2008 from a cross between brugmansia Butterfly x ((Tiara x Susanne) x Earth Angel).The blooms are large, long lasting, and quite showy.This one is quickly working its way up to my keeper zone.  Don't be surprised to see it named and introduced in 2010.

Today's featured Angel Trumpet seedling is from a cross between brugmansia Tiara x (Ludger's Windsong x Susanne).  While this bloom was a little bit beat-up by the wind, you can still see the one feature that made this bloom unique, dark ribs and a lighter center.  It is even more pronounced when you look up at the blooms.  This bloom was almost on the ground so I'll snap a few more pictures in a couple weeks when the top level blooms open.

While out for a moonlit stroll last night I stumbled across three new Angel Trumpet seedlings in bloom.  The first is an unknown cross with brugmansia Charleston as the pod parent. The blooms have velvety appearance and the plant is thriving under the hot Florida sun.This second bloom's cross has stellar parents, but you would never guess that when looking at the blooms.  This a cross between Painted Lady x Tiara.  The blooms are large and fragrant and the plant is quite showy when covered ...

This is the third seedling of this Angel Trumpet cross of brugmansia Sassy x Tiara to bloom.  Both of the previous two seedlings had single blooms and only one was worthy of watching.  Now this one can join its sibling in my watch zone.Seeing how this is the first bloom for this seedling, we'll have to wait a few more bloom cycles to see how the bloom matures and what the final color will be.
