The cross is Brugmansia ('Color Point' x 'Angels Flight') x 'Langenbuscher Garten'.The blooms are large and beautiful in form. One feature that sets these blooms apart from others is the two-tone coloration of the corolla skirt. As you can see in the photo below, the ribs are much darker than the mid section. This is especially noticeable on the outside of the bloom. This ... Categories:BrugmansiaSeedlings Tags:Angel Trumpetangels flightbrugBrugmansiaColor PointLangenbuscher Garten Read more

Here is the first of many I plan to register this year. I named this one Brugmansia 'Marshmallow Sunset'.This seedling originated from a Brenda Delph cross involving Brugmansia New Orleans Lady and (Angel's Flight x Charming). You can see easily see traits from both parents in these blooms. The bloom form and size is more in line with those of ... Monday, July 18, 2011 / Author: Sommer Gardens / Number of views: 13515 / Comments: / Article rating: 1.0 Wupperstolz blooms! I was finally able to see a bloom on my Brugmansia Wupperstolz plant. While the bloom was showing signs from taking a beating from our summer heat and thunderstorms, it still shows the potential beauty of this variegated Angel Trumpet. When Wupperstolz bloomed for the first time a few weeks ago, I was out of town for work so I never was able to see the fully open bloom. Besides the bloom that is open now I hope to see a few more later this week if the buds hold. Blooming to the right of ... Thursday, December 24, 2009 / Author: Sommer Gardens / Number of views: 14290 / Comments: / Article rating: No rating An Angel Trumpet shows off its pigtails Today's featured Angel Trumpet seedling has the cutest pigtails at the end of its tendrils. It is a cross between brugmansia Mon Amour de Mareuil x (Angels Flight x Charming). As you can see, these blooms are fat and stubby, allowing them to last longer than most Angel Trumpet blooms. I do remember this one having a nice fragrance as well. I have another seedling from this cross coming into bloom in a couple of days and it will be interesting to see how the blooms compare. Thursday, September 17, 2009 / Author: Sommer Gardens / Number of views: 6883 / Comments: / Article rating: No rating Could this be the World's smallest double Angel Trumpet??? A couple days ago I was greeted by this tiny bud on a new Angel Trumpet seedling from a Brenda Delph cross of her unknown B4 x (Angel's Flight x Charming). At first I thought it may turn out to be a yellow or cream colored bloom. But last night it was fully open and it is a nice shade of pink. What is totally amazing is how small the bloom is. This has to be the smallest double Angel Trumpet bloom I have ever encountered. The plant itself is average in size, about 4 feet tall growing in a ... Categories:BrugmansiaSeedlings Tags:Angel Trumpetangels flightbloomsbrugBrugmansiacharmingSeedlings Read more
Wednesday, September 2, 2009 / Author: Sommer Gardens / Number of views: 4395 / Comments: / Article rating: No rating Not what you would expect from this brugmansia cross I decided to make this a two for Tuesday and post another whitey. With the parents this Angel Trumpet seedling has, brugmansia (Double Dark Rosetta x Angel's Flight) x Pink Perfektion. you would think some color would be injected into this bloom. Nothing special here but it should be noted that it is blooming during the hot Florida Summer months and it is staying snow white. Friday, August 7, 2009 / Author: Sommer Gardens / Number of views: 6753 / Comments: / Article rating: No rating I need to inject some color genes in this one... Here's a cross just begging for some color. This is a brugmansia cross of New Orleans Lady x (Angel's Flight x Charming). The first couple of blooms in spring aged to a nice apricot, but during our hot summer the blooms have been white/cream with perhaps just a hint of apricot. As you can see it has great genes in the mix so I have kept this one to use for some fall crosses. It already has a pod from a cross I made in early Summer with a single bright yellow/orange Angel's Flight cross I ...
