I was pleasantly surprised to discover this new bloom on one of my Angel Trumpet seedlings from a Brugmansia Joli x Charleston cross.The seeds came from German hybridizer Volker Sanders.  One very interesting trait associated with this first set of blooms is that the inner corolla skirt is larger and darker than the outer skirts. Today's featured Angel Trumpet seedling has super-sized blooms, similar in size to those of Miss Emily Meckenzie.  This brugmansia is a cross between (Luminosa x Charleston) x Native Habitat Double Peach,  I like the form and color found in these blooms and I plan to cross it back to Native Habitat Dbl Peach, New Orleans Lady and Langenbuscher Garten for starters.

While out for a moonlit stroll last night I stumbled across three new Angel Trumpet seedlings in bloom.  The first is an unknown cross with brugmansia Charleston as the pod parent. The blooms have velvety appearance and the plant is thriving under the hot Florida sun.This second bloom's cross has stellar parents, but you would never guess that when looking at the blooms.  This a cross between Painted Lady x Tiara.  The blooms are large and fragrant and the plant is quite showy when covered ...
