I've been watching this brugmansia seedling perform for several years now and decided it was time to make it a keeper!

Brugmansia Adeline x Rosalie

Here's another Angel Trumpet seedling I have been watching for a couple of years and now think it is worthy of keeping.  The cross is Brugmansia Adeline x Rosalie.I like the deep pink color on this one and the fact the color runs all the way up the corolla tube. This plant has been a consistent bloomer and the blooms are always in perfect form.  This seedling has combined the best traits of both parents and it shows in its blooms.I've made several crosses with this seedling as the pod ...

Angel Trumpet Brugmansia Painted Lady x Adeline

Here's another nice double pink Angel Trumpet that has been blooming frequently this summer.  The seedling is from a cross between Brugmansia Painted Lady and Adeline. The blooms on this seedling are nicely formed and average in size.  With so many new double pink seedlings in bloom, it is really going to be a challenge for me to decide which ones are worthy of naming and registering.

Unkempt is cool with this Angel Trumpet

Sometimes when a new Brugmansia seedling blooms, it is love at first sight. That was certainly not the case with this seedling from a 2007 Brenda Delph cross involving Brugmansia Adeline x Miss Caylie. As you can see the blooms have a wrinkled and unkempt look to them.  At first I thought this may be something the plant would grow out of as the plant matured. Last fall I actually tagged the plant to be culled when I had time. I have a real hard time tossing plants tagged to be culled so I ...

Angel Trumpet Hot Summer flushes (part 2)

Considering this plant is only two feet tall right now, Brugmansia Andrew's Gold still makes an impact. This one did not have a tag, but I am fairly certain it is Painted Lady. The blooms just opened tonight and are a very pale pink.  If it is Painted Lady, the blooms will be much darker by tomorrow.   Here's one I plan to release to the public next spring.  It is a cross between Brugmansia Adeline and Miss Emily Meckenzie.  The blooms are super sized and the plant almost always has ...

A flamboyant Brugmansia shows off its blooms

Today's featured Angel Trumpet seedling features large, flamboyant style, soft pink blooms. This floriferous seedling is from the brugmansia cross of Painted Lady x Adeline.  The blooms pictured here are cool weather blooms, which often tend to be lighter in color than those produced in warm weather. The blooms have a nice flounce to them and are long lasting.  The plant has been a vigorous grower and has remained pest free.  I'll watch this one into next summer to see how it performs.

Decision time for yet another Angel Trumpet

Today I'm featuring another Angel Trumpet seedling that was carried over from my 2008 watch zone.  It's a beautiful double pink Angel Trumpet from the Brugmansia cross of Adeline x Rosalie.  This particular seedling was labeled #4, meaning I had several from this cross bloom last year. What makes this Angel Trumpet stand out from the other double pink brugmansia seedlings I have in my watch zone is the lush, dark green foliage.  The leaves are large and slightly serrated, and the blooms ...

An Angel Trumpet straight from the enchanted forest..

Here's an Angel Trumpet that is suited for an enchanted forest.  These first blooms from an Angel Trumpet seedling from a cross between brugmansia Adeline x Miss Caylie have a wild and crazy look to them.  Remember, you should never judge a new brug seedling by its first set of blooms so we'll anxiously wait for the next bloom cycle to see if it can iron things out.,

White Angel Trumpet Triple Header

While out for a moonlit stroll last night I stumbled across three new Angel Trumpet seedlings in bloom.  The first is an unknown cross with brugmansia Charleston as the pod parent. The blooms have velvety appearance and the plant is thriving under the hot Florida sun. This second bloom's cross has stellar parents, but you would never guess that when looking at the blooms.  This a cross between Painted Lady x Tiara.  The blooms are large and fragrant and the plant is quite showy when covered ...
