If I was to create a top ten list of Angel Trumpet seedlings currently in my watch zone, this one would be near the top of the list.  It is from a cross I made between Brugmansia Daydreams and Ludger's Windsong.During its recent flush of blooms it wowed me even more by having the inner corolla skirt turn orange, while the outer remained lemon yellow. A recent bloomer in my Angel Trumpet forest was this seedling from a cross made between Brugmansia Miss B Haven x Daydreams.  The blooms are giant in size and the one pictured above was at least 10 inches across.  The one shown below was equally as wide with a length to match. The plant is also on the larger size and this seedling easily reached 8 feet tall before blooming for the first time.  I plan to cross this one back to several other large flowered cultivars I have to see if I can ...

Now that our nights have cooled most of my Angel Trumpets have switched into bloom mode.  One that has certainly raised the bar in my hybridizing program is this Brugmansia Daydreams x Ludger's Windsong seedling.It is now in its second year of trialing and it just keeps getting better and better.  It survived our hot and steamy Florida Summer without a problem and it is especially loving our current weather.In warmer weather the blooms stay lemon yellow but when the weather cools they slowly ...

As a friend and I worked diligently to prepare several Brugmansia plants for tonight's predicted record breaking hard freeze, I stumbled across this beautiful new Angel Trumpet seedling.  It is from a cross of Brugmansia Day Dreams x Ludger's Windsong.Lucky for this Angel Trumpet its beautiful golden yellow blooms quickly earned it a warmer place to spend the next couple of nights.  I'll be watching this one closely next spring. 

Today's featured Angel Trumpet bloom is another seedling with Daydreams as the father.  It's a brugmansia cross involving Butterfly and Daydreams.It had a quite impressive first bloom in our 95 degree heat.  Nice color, nice form, and great staying power.  Looks like another one to watch this fall!

Today's featured new Angel Trumpet bloom is from a cross between brugmansia Miss Ellie and Daydreams.  This is the second seedling from this cross to have multicolored blooms.  The blooms start out with the light pastel colors of cream, peach, and salmon. As the blooms mature the colors deepen and the blooms still maintain their multicolor look.  Last year I had another seedling from this cross bloom with the same coloration, except the blooms were all triples.  It was my most watched ...
