Here is a promising new seedling from a cross between two classic European Angel Trumpet plants. Several years ago I made a bunch of crosses with Brugmansia Aprikola as the pod parent.  Unfortunately I lost most of those seedlings in the freezes of the winter of 2009.  Recently I noticed that one of the few lone survivors was in bloom. Check out the wild and crazy look of this new Angel Trumpet seedling.  It is from a cross I made between Brugmansia Joli x Pink Charm.I'm not exactly sure where it got the spiraling corolla teeth from because neither parent has curly corolla teeth. Here is a new Angel Trumpet with a rather shapely bloom.  It is a seedling from a cross I made between Brugmansia Joli and Angel's Exotic.The blooms are large and the color deepens as the bloom matures. I do not believe I have seen a bloom with a shape like this before. This bloom cycle only had three blooms, but I can only imagine how striking a larger plant with a giant flush would be.This one is certainly worth watching during 2012.
