It is from a cross I made between Brugmansia Daydreams and Ludger's Windsong.During its recent flush of blooms it wowed me even more by having the inner corolla skirt turn orange, while the outer remained lemon yellow. The blooms were a real show stopper for sure. I'm super excited about the potential of this seedling, I have several seed pods growing from ... This one is from a cross I made between Brugmansia Ludger's Windsong x Naughty Nick. Even though the parent's bloom yellow and orange respectively, the blooms on this seedling are snow white and quite showy. I feel this seedling is worthy of at least watching for a few more bloom cycles before deciding its fate. What I decided to do is group the white seedlings I'm watching together and wait ... Tuesday, December 27, 2011 / Author: Sommer Gardens / Number of views: 9924 / Comments: / Article rating: No rating A golden Angel Trumpet illuminated the Christmas Eve sky On Christmas Eve I was greeted with this bright golden orange Angel Trumpet seedling. It is seedling #15 from a cross I made between Brugmansia Cassies Curls and (Ludger's Windsong x Creamsicle). All three blooms that opened at the same time all had the workings of a second corolla skirt stuffed up inside the bloom. This means the next set of blooms could actually turn-out to be doubles! Then again, they could easily just look the same as the first set of blooms. The medium size blooms are ... One that has certainly raised the bar in my hybridizing program is this Brugmansia Daydreams x Ludger's Windsong seedling. It is now in its second year of trialing and it just keeps getting better and better. It survived our hot and steamy Florida Summer without a problem and it is especially loving our current weather. In warmer weather the blooms stay lemon yellow but when the weather cools they slowly ... Out of the entire lot, this one stands out above the rest. It is a seedling from a cross involving Brugmansia Day Dreams x Ludger's Windsong.Often yellow brugmansia blooms take on some orange coloration as they age, but not this one. This seedling stays yellow from start to finish. The blooms are medium in size and long lasting, even in our Florida heat. So far it has been a great ... It is from a cross I made between Brugmansia 'Rubirosa' x 'Ludger's Windsong'.As you can see it has it's father's style including Ludger's Windsong's crazy corolla teeth. At first I thought the blooms were going to stay snow white, but after a couple of days of aging they picked up a slight apricot color. Seeing how this was the first flush for this seedling, the final color is likely to change as the seedling ... Here is seedling #5, one that is getting closer to earning keeper status. As you can see Ludger's Windsong had a strong influence on this seedling with its similar coloration and wild corolla teeth. I'm really liking the looks of this one and anxious to see how it performs during our sauna like summer. Here is another one that stood out amongst the rest. It is from a cross involving Brugmansia Ludger's Windsong x Angel's Moonlight. The blooms on this seedling were above average in size with a nice thick texture. They started out gold and then turned more orange as they aged. The color was extremely rich and you could spot these blooms from ... Categories:Seedlings Tags:Angel TrumpetAngel's MoonlightbrugBrugmansialudger's windsong Read more
