Last season I ramped up my brugmansia hybridizing efforts using brugmansias with mutant and deeply serrated foliage.  The results of those efforts are coming to fruition and now many of the new seedlings are starting to bloom. Here's one that is showing great promise!

  

An Angel Trumpet seedling from a cross I made between Brugmansia 'New Orleans Lady' x 'Tootsie' has been a prolific bloomer with Tootsie-sized blooms.

 

When this Angel Trumpet seedling started producing its first flower bud I knew it was going to be special.  The bud was gigantic, especially for a first time bloom.  When it finally opened it was one of the largest brugmansia blooms I had seen.

Here's another Angel Trumpet seedling from a cross I made between Brugmansia 'Axelrose' x 'Marbach' that merits watching.

Next up on my soon to be named and registered list is this Angel Trumpet seedling from a cross I made between Brugmansia Pink Smitty and Lizzy.The blooms are medium is size and compact.  They hold up well in the heat and the plant has remained relatively pest free, all great traits to have in a new brugmansia. A Brugmansia Butterfly x Angels Exotic cross I made a couple of years ago has created many exciting seedlings.  Here's one that just came back into bloom. I've been watching this Angel Trumpet seedling for the past two years and now I'm ready to place it on my "to be registered' list.  It is from a cross I made between Brugmansia Naughty Nick x Cleopatra.Don't be fooled by the photo and assume the blooms are large. The blooms on this seedling are always less than two inches across.
