When a new Angel Trumpet seedling produces single pink blooms, it really has to stand out to get my attention. This new seedling did just that. Check out this cool bloom on a new Angel Trumpet seedling from cross involving Brugmansia Bergzauber x Color Point.The long corolla teeth and soft orange color give the bloom an appearance of a flame.I like the looks of this one and plan to carry it forward in my watch zone this year.  I've already incorporated it into my spring breeding program both as pod parent and a pollen parent.

I have several seedlings from a cross I made between Brugmansia Ludger's Windsong and (Color Point x Double Dark Rosetta) that have made it into my watch zone last year.  Here is seedling #5, one that is getting closer to earning keeper status. As you can see Ludger's Windsong had a strong influence on this seedling with its similar coloration and wild corolla teeth. I'm really liking the looks of this one and anxious to see how it performs during our sauna like summer.

When I came across this new Angel Trumpet bloom I was totally amazed.  With the flower measuring almost 11 inches across, it was the largest single yellow/orange bloom I had ever encountered.
