Today's featured Angel Trumpet seedling is from a cross between brugmansia Rubirosa x Little Miss Lili.  The bloom is thick textured and long lasting with a pleasant fragrance. The coloration deepened the day after I took this picture to a very deep reddish pink. I'm certain that trait was inherited from the father, Little Miss Lili, one of the darkest reddish pink cultivars I have in my collection.  This one is still a little rough around the edges so I will continue to watch it ...

Sometimes it is a challenge to capture the true colors of an Angel Trumpet bloom.  That is the case with these blooms from a cross between brugmansia Tootsie x Little Miss Lili.The blooms start out a pale pink and then mature to very deep pink like their father, Little Miss Lili.  The plant is large, towering almost eight feet tall, but the blooms are petite.

When you cross Angel Trumpets you never know what to expect.  Here's a cross of brugmansia Little Miss Lili x Jamie's Monkey Business.  LML is one of the darkest pinks I have.  Under the right conditions it almost appears red.  Jamie's Monkey Business is a bright yellow with plenty of orange genes in its family tree.This one certainly has Little Miss Lili's form.  I'm not sure what I will do with it, but any colorful, well shaped seedling that blooms during a hot Florida summer is worthy of ...
