This crisp yellow Angel Trumpet bloom is from an unknown cross with Brugmansia Miss Ellie as the pod parent.We can thank the bees for helping produce this beauty.  I had placed this seedling in my watch zone last summer and now it has earned itself keeper status. Here is another offspring from the many crosses I made with Brugmansia 'Cherub'.  This angel trumpet  seedling is from a cross of Brumansia 'Cherub' x (Pink Smitty x Miss Ellie) #1.The picture above was taken on day one before it was fully open.  As you have most likely guessed, this bloom was sliced open after I shot these photos so it could be pollinated.  :)  The bloom did open up to a very nice full double.  The blooms on this seedling are medium in size and remain the soft pink color ...

A couple of weeks ago I featured a nice double pink Angel Trumpet from a cross I made involving Brugmansia Cherub x (Pink Smitty x Miss Ellie #1).  Here's another promising seedling from that same cross.The blooms are the same soft pink color as the other seedling and are thick in texture.  Like its mother, this seedling loves our Florida weather.As you can see this seedling likes to display its blooms in an upward position.  This may be a desirable trait for a potted plant but I'm not sure ...

While browsing through my Angel Trumpet seedlings last night I came across a perky little bloom from a Brugmansia Miss Ellie x Unknown cross.The bloom has a nice golden yellow color, like its mama Miss Ellie, and cute curly tendrils.  I think I'll hang on to this one and incorporate it into my fall breeding program.  It looks like a pesky housefly is hanging on to it too!  :)

Today's featured new Angel Trumpet bloom is from a cross between brugmansia Miss Ellie and Daydreams.  This is the second seedling from this cross to have multicolored blooms.  The blooms start out with the light pastel colors of cream, peach, and salmon. Today's featured white Angel Trumpet is a cross between brugmansia Jazzy x Miss Ellie.  Both are single yellows so I was surprised to see a double white as the result.This seedling was a carry over from last fall and it has been blooming on and off all summer.  I'm not sure it is worthy of naming and registering, but I do want to cross it back to both it's parents this fall in hopes of getting some color.  The blooms are petite with long corolla tubes.  The plant is not phased by the heat or ...
