This super-sized bloom is from a cross I made between Brugmansia ('Inca Sun' x 'Lemon Meringue') x 'Herbstzauber'.So far the long corolla teeth have not re-curved so the illusion of flames continues through the bloom cycle. These photos were captured a few weeks ago when the weather was still warm. This seedling is starting a new bloom cycle now and with our cooler nights, the new blooms are ... When you look at the bloom face it has a very strong resemblance to its father, Brugmansia Angels Goldface. This was the first bloom on this seedling so I'll have to wait and see if the resemblance continues. As is often the case with new seedlings with multi-skirted blooms, the bloom form will evolve and change as the seedling matures.I still have at least a dozen more seedlings from ... The bloom color is a vibrant orange with a creamy yellow throat. The corolla teeth do not recurve and the blooms are medium in size.We are still experiencing summer like weather here in Central Florida and the blooms are holding up great in the heat.I like the looks of this seedling and plan to put it in my watch zone. Wednesday, September 26, 2012 / Author: Sommer Gardens / Number of views: 11651 / Comments: / Article rating: No rating New fall color in my brugmansia jungle Now that summer is winding down and the nights are starting to cool off ever so slightly (like a low of 72 versus 76 is really that cool), my Angel Trumpet seedlings are starting to finally hold their buds and bloom. Based on some of the blooms I have recently experienced, I expect fall to be full of surprises. Here's a new seedling that recently bloomed that has already set the bar very high for fall. It is from a cross I made between Brugmansia Angels Swingtime x (Shooting Star x New ... It has Marshmallow Sunset's form with a creamy yellow color influenced by Angels Goldface. Brugmansia Marshmallow Sunset has been a great performer and a standout in my Brugmansia jungle. I feel it has lots of potential as a parent and has been used extensively in my breeding program the past two years. I 'm currently growing out seedlings ... It is from a cross I made between Brugmansia Bergische Symphony x Marbach. It is with a group of about 400 gallon sized seedlings I potted up this spring. This seedling was super charged and grew much faster than the others in the group, and was was the first of the bunch to bloom. It is already experiencing its second flush of blooms, while none of the other seedlings are even ready to start setting buds. The ... Here is one that caught my attention this weekend. It is a seedling from a cross I made between Brugmansia Angels Summerset x (Terri Schindler Shiavo x New Orleans Lady). The rich golden yellow color extends all the way up the corolla tube and the color was consistent through the life of the bloom. The blooms are average in size with good substance. The father of this seedling, ...
