Here's a seedling from an Angel Trumpet cross involving two classics, Brugmansia Creamsicle x Dorthea.It has a very simple, yet elegant form for a double bloom. The outer corolla skirt had a tinge of pink in it, but the color did not intensify as the bloom matured. The blooms were not quite as large as those of its mother.I plan to carry this seedling over through summer to see how it performs in our heat.

Several years ago I made a bunch of crosses with Brugmansia Aprikola as the pod parent.  Unfortunately I lost most of those seedlings in the freezes of the winter of 2009.  Recently I noticed that one of the few lone survivors was in bloom. This Angel Trumpet seedling is a sibling to one I featured last month. It was placed in my watch zone last Spring and since then it has developed into a real gem.  The cross is Brugmansia Cassies Curls x (Ludger's Summer Dream x Creamsicle).The bloom on the left almost appears as if it is a dancing flame.  Another trait that I really like with these blooms is that the color extends all the way up the corolla tube.  I plan to continue to watch this one into the summer before deciding if it is ...

Check out the wild and crazy look of this new Angel Trumpet seedling.  It is from a cross I made between Brugmansia Joli x Pink Charm.I'm not exactly sure where it got the spiraling corolla teeth from because neither parent has curly corolla teeth.
