A Brugmansia Butterfly x Angels Exotic cross I made a couple of years ago has created many exciting seedlings.  Here's one that just came back into bloom. I was pleasantly surprised last week to find golden blooms on one of my Brugmansia Angels Exotic x Inca Sun seedlings.I'm growing out a bunch of Angel Trumpet seedlings from this cross and so far most have been white or cream colored.  The blooms on this one started out cream, but matured to more of a creamy yellow color.  The blooms are also smaller than most brugmansia blooms. Here is a rather dramatic Angel Trumpet bloom from a cross I made between Brugmansia Butterfly x Angels Exotic.I'm growing out a bunch of Angel Trumpet seedlings from this same cross and many are already in my watch zone because of their beauty.  This cross of Brugmansia Butterfly x Angels Exotic has produced quite a diverse set of seedlings.  With 8-10 additional seedlings expected to bloom for the first time this fall, I'm certain the diversity will continue.    

This Angel Trumpet seedling appears to want to keep it's split corolla format.  The bloom is from a Brugmansia Bert a Angel's Exotic seedling.This seedling has had multiple bloom cycles since spring and with each one all the blooms have been split.  It would be cool if the bloom fanned out more, but currently they stay closed like the photo above.  I'm not sure what I will do with this seedling.  Perhaps i will just grow it out as a novelty.

My 2009 cross involving Brugmansia 'Butterfly' x 'Angels Exotic' has yielded quite a few watchers so far.  Here's another seedling from that cross that made it into my watch zone.This Angel Trumpet seedling has a strong resemblance to its father, Angels Exotic.  The one thing that stands out if you compare the two is the white inside this seedling's inner corolla tube. So far this Angel Trumpet cross involving Brugmansia Butterfly x Angels Exotic has yielded some interesting results.  Here's a recent bloomer that I placed into my watch zone.  This one I have labeled as seedling #7.The blooms are large and the corolla skirts compact.
