Here is a new Angel Trumpet with a rather shapely bloom.  It is a seedling from a cross I made between Brugmansia Joli and Angel's Exotic.The blooms are large and the color deepens as the bloom matures. I do not believe I have seen a bloom with a shape like this before. This bloom cycle only had three blooms, but I can only imagine how striking a larger plant with a giant flush would be.This one is certainly worth watching during 2012.

This striking new Angel Trumpet seedling has flailing corolla teeth that resemble an octopus or spider.  The cross is one I made between Brugmansia Bert and Angel's Exotic.As the bloom matured the color deepened even more than what is shown in these pictures.  I know where the wild corolla teeth came from, its father, Angel's Exotic.  I sure whish my sense of smell was better because I would love to know if this bloom was fragrant or not.I decided to keep this one in my watch zone for 2012.

I have been watching this new Angel Trumpet seedling bloom throughout the summer and now I need to decide if I should keep it.  It is from a cross I made between Brugmansia Angel's Exotic x Inca Sun.I think I'll at least keep this one through the winter to see what the color does during the cooler weather.  So far it has stayed a cream color, but the cooler weather may bring out a slight apricot hue.Deciding which seedlings to keep is one of the toughest parts of plant hybridizing.  I'll ...

Another seedling from my Brugmansia Angel's Exotic x Inca Sun cross has earned a spot in my watch zone.  This one more closely resembles its mother, Angels Exotic than the other seedlings from this cross I placed in my watch zone earlier.The more I look at this Angel Trumpet bloom the more it resembles a white/cream colored Angels Exotic bloom.
