The blooms on this new Angel Trumpet seedling have great form, but the color is rather drab. The cross is Brugmansia Rubiline x (Creamsickle x Candida Pink).Although the color appears darker in this night shot, the blooms start out a cream color and turn more of a dull apricot/yellow as they mature. The plant has been a vigorous grower with frequent flushes of blooms. I don't think this one is worthy of registering but it is too showy for me to just toss. I think I may chop this one up next ... It is from a Brenda Delph cross between Brugmansia Lady Liberty x Meloncholy Baby. The blooms have a rather unusual form to them and are thick in texture. I'm not very good at detecting fragrances but this seedling has a pleasant one strong enough to grab my attention. The blooms start out a nice cream color and slowly and slowly pick up a light apricot color as they mature.I'm not sure if this bloom ... Tuesday, November 1, 2011 / Author: Sommer Gardens / Number of views: 6054 / Comments: / Article rating: No rating Brugmansia Orange Zest x Genevieve This Brugmansia Orange Zest x Genevieve seedling has been putting on quite a show lately. The unusual bloom form is unlike any I have seen before. The inner corolla skirt is at least twice as wide as the outer skirt and it fans out about 8-9" across. When you factor in the corolla teeth you are looking at a bloom that is nearly a foot wide!I grew out quite a few seedlings from this cross and several have been special enough to make their way into my watch zone. So far all of them have ... Categories:BrugmansiaSeedlings Tags:Angel TrumpetbrugBrugmansiagenevieveorange zest Read more

It is from a cross i made between Brugmansia Ludgers Windsong x (Color Point x Double Dark Rosetta) #8.While this seedling is certainly not special enough to register, I plan to use it in a few crosses this winter. I have had some great results with crosses made with my Color Point x Double Bark Rosetta seedlings. The Brugmansia (Color Point x Double Dark Rosetta) #8 seedling used for the pollen parent in ... It is from a cross I made between Brugmansia Angel's Exotic x Inca Sun.I think I'll at least keep this one through the winter to see what the color does during the cooler weather. So far it has stayed a cream color, but the cooler weather may bring out a slight apricot hue.Deciding which seedlings to keep is one of the toughest parts of plant hybridizing. I'll ... Here is the result of a cross made between two of those ladies, Brugmansia Dorthea x Golden Lady. The snow white blooms on this seedling have some of the longest corolla teeth I have spotted in a new seedling. You can be certain that Dorthea had an influence in the striking corolla teeth found in this seedling's petite, thick textured blooms. A recent mini-flush of blooms was an eye catcher because of the ... Categories:BrugmansiaSeedlings Tags:Angel TrumpetBrugmansiabrugsdortheaGolden Lady Read more

One of those has blooms that look similar to these, however that seedling's blooms pick-up a slight apricot color as they mature. So far the seedling featured here stays white from start to finish. The blooms on this seedling are full and petite, averaging less than 3 inches across. The plant is ...
